Club Night Officially Becomes a Religion
For some people dance music is their religion but a club night in Bournemouth has taken it one step beyond by officially becoming a religion. Frenzy (a hard dance night) has done this to combat the councils street flyer distribution laws. A recent legislation passed by the local county council meant no street flyering could be done unless, it was for a charity, political purposes or where the distribution is for the purpose of a religion or belief.
Frenzy contacted their legal counsel who informed they were in their legal rights to become their own religion and as with any religion Frenzy do have some guidelines for their followers
I shall pay my council tax
I shall not drop litter on the floor
I shall respect my neighbours
I shall rave safely.
The new religion has undoubtedly sparked opposition. A local religious group, (“The Blessed Evangelists”), have planned a demonstration outside the club this Friday as a result of the club nights disrespectful actions.
Frenzy’s first ever gathering takes place this Friday at the Dusk till Dawn nightclub between the hours of 11pm and 5am.
