A Bit About The Bus

The Big Blue Bus is the newest addition to The Bernard Shaw family. A 1978 Gardener that used to ferry people around London, the BBB saw out it's days as a catering wagon on film sets around Ireland and has been lovingly restored and turned into a pizza kitchen and restaurant.

After 6 months of scraping, stripping, cleaning, painting and building, the BBB went on the road, touring the festivals (Electric Picnic, Life, Mantua, Kings of Concrete...) and now resides full time in The Bernard Shaw.

Owned and ran by two enterprising lads from Wicklow, Gourmet pizzas is their bag. They make the dough fresh on site every day and every pizza is made to order. They also do fresh baked Wicklow Brownies for desert. Hookah Pipes are also available for rental.

Reserve the Bus and Catering Options

There are a number of options for reserving the Big Blue Bus.

If you would just like to reserve a table or two for yourself and some friends to have a meal, there is no charge providing you order food.

If you would like to reserve the top deck of the bus for a private function, there is a flat rate charge of €25 per hour.

The Big Blue Bus is open Thursday to Sunday from 6pm to midnight.
The Big Blue Bus is accessed through The Bernard Shaw.
Pizza's can be eaten on the bus or in the bar
