Mr Jones 2nd Birthday: FAKE BLOOD

To celebrate two years of blood, sweat, tears and bass, Mr Jones is celebrating with a Mr Jones weekender with two of the biggest acts in Electro and Dubstep.

On Thursday we are bringing back one of our favourite DJs and producers FAKE BLOOD for his second only ever headlining slot in Dublin (the last one being his first ever Irish appearence for Mr Jones back in 2008).

If that is not enough- Mr Jones also presents Dubstep titan Caspa, the night after.

Fake Blood aka Theo Keating, started off as one half of British big beat band, "The Wise Guys" who had chart success with the likes of "Start the Commotion" and "Ooh La La". He also lends his talent to "The Black Ghosts" with Simon William Lord of Simian fame.

Today he is best known as FAKE BLOOD, producing some of the best club tunes from last year. The likes of Mars and Fix Your Accent, and also his incredible remixes of Little Boots (Stuck on Repeat), The Kills (Cheap and Cheerfull) and Unkle's (Restless) cemented him as a force to be reckoned with in 2009.

Mr Jones has hosted some of the best club nights in Dublin in the last two years with residents Shortie, Colin and Frank showcasing the best in the electro and bass world. The night has also had a string of international guests (many of whom made their Irish debut). Some of these include, Switch, Fake Blood, Modeselektor, Buraka Som Sistema, D.I.M, Jokers of the Scene, Sinden, Alex Metric and Playdoe.

Aside from the music, Mr Jones also incorporated other elements into its club nights with weekly art galleries, av shows, African drumming workshops, film clubs and even bake sales.

Its been a great two years and lets hope there are many more.
