MUD: SINDEN (Domino, UK), REEPS ONE (UK Beatbox Champ '09) + BREAKOLOGY
It's your boy Sinden back in the Pepper after mashing it up with Annie Mac last April. Sinden is one of the most exciting & hardworking DJ/producers in the bass music scene, and is very much one of the driving forces behind the genre alongside the likes of Diplo, A-Trak, Craze, Fake Blood & Toddla T. This time he'll be getting grimey in the basement with the Mr Jones' Shortie (who's recently remixed The Count & Sinden's new single Mega) and Dave B.
We'll also have wicked UK Beatbox '09 Champion Reeps One doing a little set before Sinden. He's over for the Secret Wars party in the Bernard Shaw earlier that evening.
Upstairs in the Mezz Breakology will be having a come down after their monster 5th Birthday last month. Tonight it's Efendi, Stu, DJ Obese & Jay Sharpe + Bongo John in for a jam.

Graeme Sinden is a unique DJ-producer who has revitalised the club scene, staying one step ahead as musical boundaries become ever blurred.
Straddling a bass heavy club sound that also encompasses leftfield rock music and global beats, Sinden is renowned for his genre-blending DJ sets, cracklin’ hot radio show, his bumpin’ remixes and most importantly for being the Sinden in hotly tipped ‘The Count & Sinden’ and, alongside Herve, founding member of the ‘Machines Don't Care’ collective.
His DJ career sees him in residence at his own ‘Get Familiar’ night at London’s Fabric, as well as jet-setting around the world turning clubs on their heads with his eclectic new sound. Sinden also enjoyed a brief stint as M.I.A’s club DJ whilst touring the ‘Kala’ album, which saw him play to huge audiences on the festival circuit.
At the turn of the new millenium, Sinden landed himself a spot on groundbreaking radio station Kiss FM. It was the first show of its kind to host an eclectic selection of music that includes Funk Carioca, Baltimore Club, Kuduro, Juke House, Southern Hip Hop, Dancehall, House/Electro and much much more.
Having the radio show keeps Sinden one step ahead of the game when it comes to finding new music, and its this taste-making approach he brings to his productions. Sinden began making his own music around the time he forged a friendship with Dave "Switch" Taylor and was taken under his wing to learn the production game. Together they began to create progressive hip-hop, dancehall beats and other unclassifiable rhythms. Testing the water with his remixes of other artists has led to an impressive, diverse reel which includes mixes of EPMD, Basement Jaxx, Esser, Bjork, Mujava, Armand van Helden and Mark Ronson to name a few.
His production technique has further evolved in his collaboration with Joshua Harvey, aka The Count (aka Herve), on their project The Count & Sinden. Their single ‘Beeper’ was a crossover club smash which built on the success of early release ‘Tambourzouda’. As part of this more recent collaboration with Joshua, Sinden is also one of ‘Machines Don't Care’. Along with fellow scenesters Drop The Lime, Toddla T and Trevor Loveys they have been responsible for one of the most well received club albums of the last year.
The debut Count & Sinden album is due out on Domino Records this Autumn too so keep an eye out.
The new single Mega is out now:
