Beardyman is one of the UK's finest beatboxers & human sound effect dude. You can expect a hugely entertaining show of aural beats, hits, decks n effects from Beardy, combined with his cheeky sense of humour. Check out his kitchen diary video here where he shows you how to cook up a nice break:
Support comes from b-day boy & Scribble Records' DJ Kormac & Mud's Nic James.
Downstairs in the Basement, OneSevenFour return for their monthly session with a special DnB guest Klute (Commercial Suicide) . A former drummer, vocalist & songwriter in punk band the Stupids during the 1980s, Klute moved on to electronic sounds in the 90s with his tracks getting released on top dnb labels including Hospital, Metalheadz, Certificate 18. In 98 he released his debut album Casual Bodies, and shortly after set up his own label Commercial Suicide. As well as releasing his own work on Commerical Suicide, Klute has also signed tracks by Break, Calibre, Amit, Digital & more. His 5th and most recent album "Emperor's New Clothes" was released last year, consisting of one DnB CD and another of downtempo techno & breakbeat which has gained him a lot of attention in the electronic music scene.
A further claim to fame is that his track "Time 4 Change" from "No One's Listening Anymore" was the last tune ever played on-air by John Peel.
Klute's style of drum and bass is strongly influenced by techno; it's deep and progressive, with flavours of house, dub and trance, and frequent use of vocals. Although Klute is one of the more melodic and musical producers in drum and bass, his tracks are still typically intended for the DJ and dancefloor.
