James Goulden presents UNDERGROUND SEEN - A music photography exhibition
Next up at The Twisted Pepper Artspace is James Goulden, showing his photos in UNDERGROUND SEEN.
James has spent the last 10 years photographing bands and musicians in every kind of venue from sweaty underground rock clubs in Madrid to the fields of Glastonbury to the Dublin institutions of Whelans, Fibbers, Dorans amongst countless others. With no formal photographic training, James is self trained in the art of capturing the iconic moments that only happen on stage with a screaming crowd at your back. James is also well practiced in the subtle art of blagging his way onto the stage whilst the band are playing or into the recording studio or tour bus where the hidden moments of bands creative processes take place.
The images in the exhibition are a varied selection of images of artists from internationally renowned musicians to young bands still trying to save up some money to make their first recordings. But the one thing connecting the images is the attempt to record those magical instants in time that only music can provide us.
Launches Saturday March 6th
Opening Party 9pm.
