Stereotonic: LAKE OF STARS LAUNCH PARTY

Continuing on from our Lake of Stars Launch party in the Bernard Shaw we'll be parading the drums across the Stereotonic afterwards. Local Dublin percussion gang AFO Drums will be performing a live jam in the courtyard and then moving in the club room for a heads down butt shaking session. AFO formed in 2004 by French Djembe artist FX Ruellan and consists of six members each playing a different kind of African drum including the djun-djun, the kenkeni, the ngoni and the dunduns. The gang play all over Europe and just last May they played the main stage at Dublin Castle for Africa day with a bone shaking performance.

James M will take over from AFO to close the night with a set of deep, chuggin, afro, percussive house. It's his 30th Birthday too so he'll be in full party mode and loved up. Eoin Callanan will also be on hand warming up the floor for the night on a deep afro tip.

In the bar Liverpool DJ Buddha (resident at Diango's Riff) will mix up a fun blend of soul/funk & world riddims. He played at our Lake of Stars after party last December and proper mashed the place up.
