Cool, what do ye make of the way he utilises traktor?
Richie Hawtin's DJ set up
He could put a bit of effort in and get another 16loops and 4 echo effects going over whats there. Sound unreal baaay.
It does interest me what he's doing and he's certainly taking djing to the next level but I'd love to hear a set of tracks i know with all the skills going on...the fact that I dont know any of the blibby Blibby stuff does nothing for me.... Would i like every dj in world doing this???? No.........
Its just loops and different levels of repeats on each track (3 tracks, 1/16, 1/8, 1/4 or whatever)
Once its mastered its just a matter of selecting tracks and points to mix in and out with them.
just another level of using an echo but sounds good but at the same stage he keeps feckin doing it in his sets!
Almost like his new trademark spin back haha

When Jeff Mills is still using the fuckin Roland 909 ffs...... nots that annoying!! At least Hawtin is doing something different, pushing it a bit, although his music is cat. And dont get started on his Twitter Set-up!
At least Mills keeps it real. 909 is the roots, and all live improv:) And him rocking a 909 will melt your head good, more than any snooze minimal. Hawtin is pushing nothing now, how many follow. And Mills has been rocking the 909 since the beginning. Someone like Monolake is really pushing it, making his own ableton controlers years ago!!!!
