Annie Mac Presents and in general.

I've been listening to the new Annie Mac double cd mix package for the last week now and I have to say, it's really good. Well CD 2 certainly is. CD1 has some questionable mixing on it but that seems to be her style and she makes no bones about it.

I think CD 2 is possibly the best compilation of tunes I have heard this year. It's a bloody good listen. Not quite club fodder, more at home, in the car or after party material. It could be the making of her and help win over a totally new fan base.

She is definitely girl done good now taking over what is widely perceived to be the most important position in Dance Music, taking over Pete Tong's Essential Selection time slot (although Pete still those this but just two hours later).

It all looks EXTREMELY predictable to me, to be honest.

Predictable that a DJ makes a CD with a sound she is known for championing?

Would an experimental voyage through 1920's swing have been less predicable for you???

Only is she put Der Dritte Raum - Swing Bopp on it.

The latest cut from Django Rheinhart is on it no?

she wouldnt be my cuppa tea personally , but she does what she does well , so fair fucks to her. And i dont mean that in some patronising '' ah sure she's irish , dont knock her '' kind of way , she's alot like Pete Tong in a way , in her own way . think the tracklisting looks decent and good fun for what it is . The Detroit police will slate it though

ha!

Isn't being extremely predictable what people want from a DJ these days? I'd definitely give it a spin, looks good for what it is, a fashionable selection of tunes that will sound shit in a year. No excuse for bad mixing though, surely she can afford a copy of abelton!
