The Twisted Smell...

Was looking forward to Chymera's set for ages. Was down there for 5 mins, but the manky smell was too much to hack. Does it smell like that all the time or did a pipe burst or what? I taught maybe I was imagining it but the others I was with didn't last 5 mins down there. Times like that you'd wish the smoking ban was never brought in...

Stayed upstais and listened to Attention Bebe, decent novelty band, never taught I'd hear DJ Jean-The Launch played by a 10 piece band.

On an unrelated matter, really enjoyed Aidan Kelly's set in Solas beforehand, great mix of music and he was enjoying himself more than anyone else in there which is always great to see....

tis a problem with a pipe we think , so floor is getting relaid in early January, costing alot of money and havent got the benjamins until then to pay for it , still paying off the sound system . the basement in general is getting relicked in time for jan 22nd and 23rd when we're doing a weekend of party with the Bloc peeps, Kode 9 , Dettman , Beatyard no2 and so on .

It smelt like a mixture of sick and bleach. I got used to it after a couple of minutes.

yeah you don't notice it after a few mins... as well as that the smell goes as the club fills up, prob because of all the heat creating a draft

you're not the only ones, pygmalion is beginning to stink too, some kinda bad smell that used to haunt it under its previous name

To be honest I didn't even notice it and I was in early enough, even if i did I dont think it would make me leave the room!! I'd just drink more to block it out.

The rumour is that you get a buzz off it and its 5e a breath from January in so if I were you I'd get it into you while its still FOC.

Bags first go...

it thought it was a new hipster related thing, not washing yourself?

Jeez...u want to smell some of the similar basement clubs around europe. TP basement is sweet(not too sweet!) smelling in comparison. Were lucky to have such a rocking, slightly mangy basement (the A/C thing will always be a problem... but we are not made of glass, though)
