Theres been talk that if they were to go into insolvency, then all the teams that had received points playing them would have those points deducted....this would mean United and Arsenal losing 6 points and Chelsea losing 3.
Probably the most interesting thing that could come out of this season tbh.

There's no way they're going to punish United and Arsenal and reward Liverpool for the failings of a 3rd party. The only points deduction would be for Portsmouth who will still exist as a Premiership team this season in some form or other even they are wound up
Dream on? How is it dreaming? They clearly have to do something about the fact that some teams have yet to play them. If they're wound up, that means theres nothing of the club left, absolutely nothing, no more Pompey whatsoever. So theres no-one to deduct points from and no team to play the remainder of the season. Administration is what you're thinking of.

Pretty sure when Aldershot went bust in '92 all the their results from that season were expunged from the records.

The reason I mention Liverpool is because you're a Liverpool supporter and you're dreaming if you think that Portsmouth's travails will end up letting Liverpool off the hook cos of their defeat to them. No matter what happens there's still a 20 team Premiership. If Portsmouth are wound up as a legal entity the Premiership isn't going to revert to 19 teams. If no Portsmouth 2.0 team is resurrected to take their place in the Premiership then the team forfeits the games to the end of the season so the points would presumably be awarded to the teams yet to play them as each fixture came due.
