What kind of book Darren?
I read a fantastic book there before christmas called 1491 about the Americas before Columbus arrived. If you're into history its great.
Inverting the Pyramid is another savage book about football tactics if you're into football.
If you're looking for something light, Kill your Friends by John Niven is a very funny (fictional) book about a music A&R guy around the time of Brit Pop and 'Cool Britannia'.

remember seeing that when it came out alright, must pick it up.
Darren Love Saves the Day by Tim Lawrence is a great book about the history of disco / clubbing in the NY in the 70s / 80s. Not that I've gotten around to finishing it, put it down there a few months ago...
