Business Plan: Sound Protection and Acoustics

Hello,

We are a new company called 'Sound Protection and Acoustics' based in Cardiff city, South Wales. We wish to outline our products and it's features and would very much appreciate any comments, feedback or suggestions of what you think of our idea.?

Let me introduce ourselves and what we do....

Sound Protection and Acoustics are a company specialising in acoustic solutions for the project and professional studio. Our inttroductory product is a modular acoustic panel with interchangeable front panels. This allows the user to change the acoustic properties of the product, between a reflective and absorptive surface. The acoustic panels are designed to be stackable, because of this the product will be named 'Acoustacks'

There will also be a website to support the products and will feature another product of ours an acoustic calculator to aid buyers in their acoustic design process. The calculator will explain where room modes appear and with that knowledge they can place 'Acoustacks' in the most effective position. This will encompass two products that will benefit one another.

Over the coming months we wish to become a viable business. We will build four prototype 'Acoustacks' to feature in promoting our business to gain potential business endeavours. To illustrate the success that can be acheived by using 'Acoustacks', we will record a with and without audio sample in a studio environment. This will show potential buyers the funtionalitiy of the product.

Also, another prototype will be made for the acoustic calculator, this will involve using algorithms to define the acoustic properties of a users room. The calcultor will be a simple interface with the aspiration to be advanced at a later date. Sercurity will be achieved through ASP which locates potentially vulnerable data to an inaccessible server.

Once again, feedback is most welcome and we appreciate any response. What do you think?

sounds interesting. can you stacks work as sound absorbers ? ie if id sound outside and wanted to dampen its power in a certain direction , would this work ?

and it is expensive if it can do that ?

sounds great, but can you sort me out with some Viagra?

Interesting idea. A few questions:

What would the dimensions of these Acoustacks be?

Are they wall/roof/surface mounted or free standing?

Presumably most rooms would need more than one of these devices to absorb wall and roof reflections, so what kind of price range are we talking per unit?

Back in my day, all we had was duvets or egg cartons. And we'd to eat a lump of coal and get up 4 hours before we went to bed

LOL!!!!!

Hi,

Thanks for your feedback and I hope below may answers some of your inquires about our product

We are currently in the early stages of production&design but dimensions will possibly be; 500x750x100mm with mounting options available using brackets for wall connectivity, or mic stands with an adjustable height service and low stands with a tilting service. The construction will consist of 4piece timbre frame made from plywood and rockwool material.

No price estimate has yet to be considered as we are still only developing the product.
