What kind od a DJ is Fatboy Slim? Have many people here seen him? What kind of stuff does he play? He mustn't be completely over the top shit if he was booked
i think he could well be worse . Like FBS had his time and place . '98-'99, if you were a student on a J1 trying to get others/anyone into dance music, he was the dude who did it .
and i dont give a shit what anyone says, his BBB mix, and a few of the tracks of the album with 303/santa cruz etc on it, are good, still sound ok in their own way.
but he was also the Big Beat poster boy, and as a genre, it was arguably one of the worst of all time, mostly forgetable shite, the thinking [drinking?] man's hard house . he played EP a few years ago, and it was not good at all . he's well past it now, just a circus clown really. Maybe thats all he ever was. you dont notice these things so much in your yoof...

Was Big Beat even a Genre? I could never really tell to be honest.
He's a big party dj and a bit of fun maybe but technically not great and not doing anything interesting therefore a strange booking for Sonar?
The rest of it looks a bit meh but then the initial releases normally do.
