Dj Effects

Hi, would this thing work in a vinyl situation, and what would the best effects unit be for my said situation? I was looking at a kaoss pad mini 2 but it seems to only have one output. I might consider just getting an old efx 500 or 1000 too.

nearly all effects units only have one output anyway

If you're going down an effects unit path it's best off having a mixer with a send and return for each channel.. makes life easier if you want to add an effect to one channel ie echoing out a track from a mix..

I have a efx 500, which i'm considering selling.. I don't use the thing anymore.

If I were you I'd spend the money on a load of records or a high end set of needles

Hes unreal.

Yea, thats what I meant with regards to having the effect on each channel. I might take that efx500 off you if you want to sell it.

I'm not sure what high end needles or even more records is going to achieve with effects but it takes all sorts I suppose.

The only effect I will probably use is the delay in fairness. I wonder if there is a cheap unit that I could get this outa?

No, nearly all effects units have a send and return. This means that there are two outputs coming from the unit into two inputs in your mixer.

a send is an input and a return is an output

Yes, they are indeed and there are two of these said inputs and outputs on most effects units.
