Sinden takes us on a guided tour of what's poppin hard in his CD wallet for this month...
1) Estelle – Wait A Minute Feat Will I Am (Count & Sinden Remix) (Atlantic/Homeschool) – Forthcoming remix for UK rapper, Estelle, on John Legends label. Herve and me are dubbing it Trance-Garage.
2) Count & Sinden Featuring Kid Sister – Beeper (CDR) – Tribute to speed garage track that will eventually surface as our first remix for Domino next year. All new verses from Kid Sister.
3) Bucketheads – The Bomb (Herve Refix) (CDR) – Useful Baltimore Club disco tool courtesy of that man, Herve.
4) Armand Van Helden – J’Taime (Switch Remix) (Southern Fried) Brand new remix from Switch, paying tribute to an old master. Spot the bassline reference.
5) Riot In Belgium – La Musique (Sinden Remix) (Relish) Big Australian electro record that I turned into a percussive Mambo - house chanty joint.
6) Duke Dumont – Hoy (Dubsided) Mad Turkish percussive chanting release from new signing Duke Dumont. One of the most original club records I’ve heard in years. Dubsided smashing it again.
7) Se:sa Featuring Sharon Phillips – Like This Like That (Count & Sinden Remix) (Positiva) Big sing-a-long tune for the girls and a squiggly electro bassline to please the dudes too.
8) Action Man – Alarm Bell (Counterfeet CDR) I snapped this record up straight away for my Counterfeet label I co-run with Switch. Kind of bleepy-techno just on the right side of annoying.
9) Count Of Monte Cristal – Dibby DJ (Counterfeet) New Count sampling dance hall classic ‘The Stopper’ (the one that has a hook like that childrens song Frère Jacques).
10) Crookers – Let Me Back Up (CDR) Hype club tune with some very extra synths and chopped hip hop vocals causing absolute mayhem.
Sinden plays Stereotonic @ Pod on 30 November. You can also catch his weekly Kiss FM show 1-2am Wed night/Thurs morning
im a bit scared as to how this will go down at ST tbh . oh wait ill be in milan ... bummer
I would have thought he'd be more suited to Backlash?
There's some tunes in that list that even I wouldn't give a listen
lookin foward to seein what this chap is all about
i reckon he's backlash potential now allright , he's gone completely down this road he's on in the last 2/4 months by looks of it
i saw Loveys and Herve play in london in september . gave me a headache tbh. i love most of Lovey's stuff too or least anyhing he made up to a year ago havent gotten anything by him this year i dont think. Sinden i like i just hope he doesnt play too much of the above . he's brillant at playing across the board thats why we booked him , try something different .
tis a brave booking alright but in fairness the only thing that goes with the flow is dead fish .... will be interesting to hear what he plays
he played the lobby bar around last christmas and not alot of people were in there checkin him out, he wasnt playin the type of beats mentioned above, I think his stuff is good fun, i think himself and switch (sound wise) are essentially the same show, so if you have an opinion on switch you can probably apply it to Sinden aswell, I reckon he will destroy the place personally, in a monotanous bouncy kind of way, i suppose the same can be said for Dubstep & D'n'B,
Realy looking forward to seeing him play, i reckon itll just be in your face blow the arse out of the place type music!Excellent
The only thing is sometimes people play this sort of bangin music for 2hours straight and its just boring at that stage but im sure he'll be mixing it up style wise to because he's certainly got the capacity to.
Also looking forward to senior Crego spinnin in Stereotonic again its been a while
I can't wait for this too. I think he'll play a little more across the board than Switch, although it will be very different to his set at POGO last December which was more an eclectic party set. I'm really looking forward to playing myself too, it'll be my last Stereotonic slot for now, gonna do a nice n chunky warm-up with some of my older favs.
Oh dear, my favourite Bodytonic DJ playing too. It looks like I might have to go out twice this weekend.
im not playing at this gavin
:D
crego is sinden, unbelieveable similarity in the photos, besides the reefer obviously :)
never notcied that for some reason !

Jaysus, talk about keeping it in the family.
That top ten almost entierly consists of either himslef, Switch or Herve.
Should be a good night with him or any of them at the helm.
