Brazilian electro rock outfit CSS are down one member after bass player Ira Trevisan announced her departure this week to focus on the climate and fashion.

Trevisan has spent the last two years travelling the planet with the hugely successful group but decided her time was up.

She is concerned about the amount of time she spends flying and believes it to be damaging to the environment, “I am a bit worried about climate change. People should care more and do something about it”.

The only male member of the band and their drummer Adriano, will step into Ira’s shoes while the band are on tour. A session drummer will in turn be drafted in to take his place.

Ira said in a recent statement, “I decided to move forward and dedicate more of my time to fashion and other projects, I will never stop playing music, CSS will always be in my heart”.

The bands second studio album is due for a UK release in July.
