DC10 to Close for a Year

There have been more updates this week in the DC10 saga reported on bodytonicmusic.com a few weeks ago. The club was ordered to shut last June for a period of 60 days following repeated offences including over filling the venue and an apparent lax drug policy.

Clubbers planning to return to the club this weekend for the opening party are going to be left very disappointed as local authorities have now ordered the club to close for a further year. To add a further nail to the coffin, the club has also been asked to fork up over £100,000 in fines for repeatedly ignoring its 68 person capacity licence.

The owners have a month to appeal the decision with hope that the club might open for the closing parties in September, but if their appeal is rejected it is unlikely that the club would ever re-open again.

The organisers of the infamous Circo-Loco daytime party have said that they wouldn’t even consider moving their event to another venue which would result in a huge loss of one of the islands greatest parties.

At present it is not looking good for DC10, stay tuned for any updates.
