Irish nightclubs to stay open late on NYE
Irish nightclub goers will finally get a chance for some late night-partying this New Year's Eve when nightclub opening hours are extended by one second.
The extra drinking and dancing time, which will no doubt allow continental-style debauchery for one night only, is as a result of the addition of a 'leap second' into clocks both in Ireland and around the world, to allow the "earth to catch up with itself", according to the [Irish Times] (http://www.irishtimes.com/newspaper/frontpage/2008/1211/1228864663266.html?digest=1).
However, if you want to help achieve some real change in Ireland's outdated opening hours, you are probably better off logging on here.
enough to get another yip into ya . hurray
