New Zealand Ring First to ring in the New Year
While the majority of us ring in New Year down the local or in a mate’s house, 20,000 lucky people in New Zealand have been living it up at the 6th annual Rhythm & Vines Festival.
The three day event was one of the first places to ring in the New Year with over 140 acts playing.
Some of these included, Santogold, [Carl Cox] (http://www.bodytonicmusic.com/watch/video/2008/sep/09/bodytonic-meets-carl-cox-interview/), Dj Mehdi, [Busy P] (http://www.bodytonicmusic.com/watch/video/2008/aug/25/bodytonic-tv-busy-p-interview/), The Mystery Jets, Public Enemy, A-Trak, Cut Copy and Switch.
The event continues till 6 AM on New Years Day with festival goers welcoming the first sunrise of 2009 at 5:46 am.
