The Theme re-released
Not often we'd make news out of a single release , but this one is special . NRK have signed up Charles Webster's classic Hot Lizard 'The Theme' for a re-release. Hot Lizard is actually Charles Webster, Gary Marsden and Paul Wain, but it was Charles' Love From San Fransico remix that's the best remembered. To this author's ears , this is one of the most sublime pieces of 90's deep house music you'll ever here. It reminds me of listening to Power FM on a Friday afternoon in the summer with not a care in the world . The re-release includes Carl Craig's original remix, plus the Mark Broom mix. Charles has also done an updated 2008 remix, and alongside Martin 'AtJazz' Iveson , they've done a Version remix too. And if that wasn't enough the orginal itself has been updated for 2008. This is an essential release for any lover of deep house and techno. You can purchase it on any of the following websites : http://www.phonicarecords.co.uk/ http://www.junodownload.com/ http://www.beatport.com/
