Big Beach Boutique
Maybe less boutique but more big and definitely plenty of beach, Norman Cook - better known to me and you as the guy who played a mind blowing set at Electric Picnic 2005 - is back again this summer to host his summer party on his local Brighton beach. The party will run over two nights between Friday, September 26 and Saturday, September 27 between 5pm and 9.30pm , capacity will be around 20,000 per night and it looks like this will be the last big party of the summer of 2008. Fatboy Slim will top the bill on one night and other DJs and acts will play the other night. The infamous party hit the headlines in 2002 when 250,000 people unexpectedly turned up, 2 people died and Sky News did what they always do and turned the whole thing into a media circus. Here's a video of the 2002 party ....
