The Longest DJ Set......Ever!

The Longest DJ Set......Ever!

A Cyprus DJ has made it into the Guinness Book of World Records after playing the longest set in DJ history. DJ Gee Papa took to the decks for a whopper 116 hour set last week.

This is not the first time Gee Papa has attempted to break the record. Last year he claimed to have played for 105 hours at Limassols Nautical club which would have broken the current record at the time which stood at 88 hours. However, due to the fact that there was no representative from Guinness present he had to try again.

The 34 year old DJ was allowed a 5 minute break every hour which he could accumulate for a longer rest. In total he slept for two hours over the 116 hour stint.

How was he DJing while he slept though? Controlling the mixer with his dreams?

By my math, he would have gotten a total of 580 minutes of possible break time, which is about 9 hours and 40 minutes...so if he was allowed to take it all at once, he could have had much more sleep than he did. I feel tired just thinking about 114 hours with no sleep, to be honest.

114 hours without sleep? Sounds like your average week at Sonar to me..........

116 hours... sure he'd only have to play about 20 minimal techno tracks... no bother
