Love them or loathe them, they’re a band who have never been afraid to stick an irreverent two fingers up at convention. Be it an “ah sure what’ll ya give me for it boss” approach to the sale of their album or a “right so boss we’re off” attitude to their record label, they’re not a band to play along nicely if they don’t like the rules of the game.

Which aint always a bad thing. Take the video for new single House of Cards, for example – shot entirely with lasers and scanners. No cameras! Eschewing the current trend for animation, green screen chicanery and x-rated puppets, they have been working closely with Zoo Films director James Frost and data visualiser and all round wizard Aaron Koblin. The resulting visual treat is an ethereal, other wordly, stunning piece of work that really is worth the gander. Check it out

Savage video to be fair.....;) Nearly as savage as In Rainbows. Genius imo
