Soul-boy Stee Downes is just about set to release his debut album "All In A Day" on Jazznova's iconic Sonar Kollektiv label.

The deal came about when Stee sent a demo to the label's headquarters in Berlin, soon after, he got word that the 6 man Jazznova collective were keen to hear what else he had to offer. After submitting a few more rough versions of his work he got the go-ahead to record the album. Stee then headed over to Croatia, set up shop with his old friend and musical counterpart Ishfaq and recorded the whole project in just two weeks playing all instruments themselves. That feat alone is a testimony of Stee's talent and motivation. Anyone who knows Stee though will know that he’s no newcomer to the music scene. Label Manager at Bodytonic’s Scribble Records, accomplished DJ for over 10 years as well as featuring on London based collective Loose Ensemble’s “Catalyst EP” and collaborating with Echoplex’s Ed Eustace on vinylvibes recordings are just a few of the credit’s to his name.

The impending November release of “All In A Day” is just the one in a line of projects Stee has lined up this year. A house project called “Pocket Scientist” is due for release on Stereotonic Recordings this year, he’s also featured on two tracks for Dublex Inc’s new album “Pheonix” due for release in October. A performance at the Sonar Kollektiv festival in Berlin Opera House this November is planned with his track “Nothing Lasts Forever” being included on the official festival compilation. A remix 12” is also due late this year with remixes from Diesler, Ishfaq and 1 more to be announced. He currently collaborating with Tru-thoughts maestro Diesler on tracks which will be part of the UK producers next album ouput.
