Clubbing Goes Green
Environmentalists and clubbers alike will be pleased to hear that a new eco friendly club is due to open in London’s King Cross district this month.
Environmentalists and clubbers alike will be pleased to hear that a new eco friendly club is due to open in London’s King Cross district this month.
The club offers revelers organic beverages served in biodegradable cups, a one of a kind recyclable water-flushing system and the ten pound cover charge won’t be charged to those who arrive on foot or by bicycle.
Perhaps the most impressive feature of the new venue is the energy generating dance floor. The spring filled system powers up to 60 percent of the buildings entire electricity bill. It creates energy from dancing clubbers which means the more rocking the set, the more frenzied the crowd, the more electricity created.
Mr. Charalambous the head of organization Club4Climate said, “This is a new way to draw in the young generation. It's a sexy and fresh approach as opposed to the way young people feel they are preached to by other more 'grown-up' charities. There is no greater platform than clubbing to reach out to young people”.
The club opens July 10th.
I can't really see how their going to determine who pays the cover charge and who doesn't?
