All Hail The Cube

"Minus goes Matrix"

All Hail The Cube

Techno giant Richie Hawtin and the Minus crew have unleashed “The Cube” to the public following the labels ten week hiatus. The launch of the Cube ties in with the labels 10 year anniversary.

The cube is said to be, "a highly advanced communications device that responds positively to the presence of humans, it is the latest exploration in how Djs interact with their audiences. Hawtin, who is the founder of the label had this to say, “The Cube explores how technology allows us as artists and the audience to make further human contact than would have been possible in the past”

The device will be present at all the CONTAKT event series which take place all over the world in the next few months. Hawtin has not specified how but has told punters the Cube will be easy to locate at the events.

People attending the shows will have the opportunity to sign up for a CONTAKT membership card online prior to the gig, which contains a microchip devised by the same technology as the cube. If you have this card, you will be identified and acknowledged upon arrival at the shows and will be able to interact with the cube via iPhones and WiFi devices. The card will also allow you to download unreleased Minus tracks or upload demos.

So if you are attending any of the following shows over the next few months check out contakt-events.com to see how you can interact with "The Cube".
