Pope Texting Kids
Don’t let the headline fool you, there is nothing sordid or sinister about this story, (dirty minded feckers).
In an attempt to reach out to a more global market, Pope Benedict XVI is appealing to the youth by sending out thousands of text messages all with inspirational messages.
The inspiration is part of the WYD08 event which is being held in Sydney. Bishop Anthony Fisher explains, “We wanted to make WYD08 a unique experience by using new ways to connect with today’s tech-savvy youth.
The messages will be sent out over a period of six days to people in Sydney throughout the month of July.
In even more religious cutting edge news a digital prayer wall is being setup similar to the Facebook network exclusively for Catholics. The Catholic Church hope this will reach out to about 225,000 youth.
What’s next, a corporate sponsorship for holy wine by Jacobs Creek?
