Gang of Four Become Gang of Two
English post punk four piece Gang of Four have become a duo after bassist Dave Allen and drummer Hugo Burnham announced they are leaving the group.
The band reformed three years ago after their split in the 80s and enjoyed a lucrative comeback with spots at all the major festivals.
In October 2005, the band released a new disc featuring new recordings of songs from their albums Entertainment, Solid Gold and Songs of the Free entitled “Return the Gift” along with a batch of remixes.
Speaking out on the reasons for the split, drummer Burnham explains he intends to begin work on a doctorate and Allen wants to spend more time updating his eh, blog.
