Matthew Dear, Bodylanguage Vol.7
Pitchfork, whose only contribution to electronic music seems to be the very excellent Philip Sherburne's Month In Techno, have given us a very good review of Matthew Dear's latest Get Physical release.
Either as Audion or Jabberjaw or False, Matthew Dear has always brought something extra to his records that's allowed him to crossover to wider audiences. This ability got him an opening slot on Hot Chip's European Tour.
The Pitchfork review of Body Language 7 is by Tim Finney. Now he doesn't say minimal is dead but he does mention that it's been replaced, which is a nice, sugar-coated method of delivering the bad news to all those DJs who need to start adapting.

The tracklist, a mixture of minimal and house, is a pretty good indicator of the way dancefloors are going in Europe these days.
