Warehouse Project to continue in 2009
The building which houses the Warehouse Project in Manchester was due to be turned into a glass skyscraper, but that plan has since run aground due to financial difficulties, so the party will continue.
The Warehouse Project has been one of the most successful short term parties of all time. The line-ups have been incredible and tickets have sold out long before events took place.
Taking place over 12 weeks and running until New Years Day it's featured some big name and underground acts including, Richie Hawtin, Ewan Pearson, Deadmau5, Skream & Benga, Giles Peterson, Sinden, A-Trak, The Presets, Erol Alkan, Noisia.
As a result of this new development, organisers of the Warehouse Project have said they should get at least another year out of the venue. They had put a petition together asking for the venue to be preserved, but in the end they didn't need it.
