Bounty Killer defies anti-homophobic campaigners
The London Metropolitan Police who previously gave their support to the Reggae Compassionate Act are allowing Bounty Killer perform in East London this weekend.
The Reggae Compassionate Act was established to weed out homophobia in reggae music. Artists were asked to sign up to the document, Bounty Killer was one of the few who didn't.
The gig at the Stratford Rex will apparently be monitored by the police, and promoters have reportedly told Bounty Killer that he can't play any of his homophobic songs.
So far, campaigners have managed to cancel two Bounty Killer gigs in Britain and one in Germany.
And this is what they're complaining about:
"Bun a fire pon a kuh pon mister fagoty…." From Another Level
"wipe out the faggot with a pure laser beam" From Look Good
"Hear this likkle punk guh sing a battyman concept…
To kill dis yah fool, to me dat is no stress
Murder dem fast just like a Federal Express" From Mr. Wannabee
The principal campaigners against Bounty Killer are a group know as OutRage!. To support them click here.
