The Guardian, Techno is dying

That most reputable distiller of music news claims that techno is on its last legs.

The Guardian newspaper, basing its story on Mixmag's diminishing minimal content and a Kiran Sande column in Fact, claim that techno is dying a slow death.

They make the argument that the global centre for electronic music innovation, Berlin, is now awash with dubstep, and that deep house rather than techno is coming to the forefront. It also points to the popularity of Shed's crossover dub/techno album Shedding the Past.
