Was disco the most important musical movement? Folk might have brought about the end of racial segregation in the US, punk might have brought down the Soviet Union and hip hop might have sparked a big spike in the sale of shine, but disco got everyone dancing. And while there are as many who'd swear blind that disco was the devil's spawn as call it a visionary creative movement, we know that none of us would be on this site today if it weren't for all those platform shoes and big vocals thirty years ago.

Mario Rogowski is behind the documentary and in it he interviews DJ Pierre, Larry Heard, Prins Thomas, Lindstrom and Juan Atkins. A release date is not yet available but we'll let you know as soon as it is.
