Clubbed the movie
Once you're in there's no way out
It's been a long time since they made a British clubbing movie that didn't go straight to video. 24-hour Party People was legendary, before that Human Traffic was the movie that best characterised what we do between Friday and Sunday. Sorted came out between both of those classics and was only notable because it featured Jason Donovan in a corset.
So Clubbed's arrival in early next year could herald a new era of club flicks or it could just confirm what most of us already suspect: there's nothing even remotely interesting about watching a dancefloor unless you're on it.
Clubbed is directed by Niall Thompson and tells the story of a factory worker in the 80s who supplements his income working as a bouncer. The soundtrack is made up of Jamaican Ska and Northern Soul classics. Release date for Clubbed is January 16.
