The Black Kids on Tour

Since they dropped onto the scene in 2006, The Black Kids have been getting a lot of press attention. Although they've graced the pages of popular publications like New York Times and NME, the majority of the buzz around them has been generated in blogland.
Last year's golden band, the group are now hitting the Irish and UK shores this month for the second time to coincide with the release of their latest single Look At Me (When I Rock Wichoo) taken from their latest album Partie Traumatic.
Although they have their own distinct sound, obvious comparisons to the likes of The Go Team and MGMT have been made and in fairness, The Black Kids were never going to come out trumps, especially being compared to the latter of the two mentioned bands.
On top add poor album reviews and the fact you’re more likely to hear better remixes of their tunes than their originals and you may be forgiven for not giving them a second look. However if this video is anything to go by (see below) the band may be worth more than a fleeting glance.
The video itself looks like a cross between 'Speed Racer' and 'That 70s Show' with dancing dogs, fluorescent lights and super powers.
Think Manga minus bushy mono-brows and bad lip-synching and you're on the right track.
