Nope, it's nothing to do with the slap-head, steroid-munching action movie "actor" Vin Diesel, this one's about the parties being hosted by the fashion brand of the same name.

October 11th sees Diesel kick off simultaneous parties in some of the biggest cities all over the world.

Dubbed "Diesel xXx", the gigs are taking place in 17 cities worldwide and feature some of the most exciting acts in music at the minute.

Some of the acts signed up to grace the stages include Booka Shade, Lindstrom, 2ManyDJs, Pedro Winter, Modeselektor, N.E.R.D, Earth Wind and Fire and Hot Chip.

Diesel has also managed to coax the increasingly moody MC M.I.A. out of "retirement" for the New York show.

It's not all as terribly impressive as it looks though, there's a world of difference between the quality of acts at each respective city with Tokyo and London predictably looking like they got first dibs on performers.

Diesel xXx takes place on October 11th at venues in the following cities:
