Kiki's Kaiku

Bpitch-er announces new album details.

Finnish recording artist Kaiku returns with a new album, 'Kaiku', on May 4. While the album varies in tempo, the overall feel is - as the press release promises - a "more subtle and personal mood". Kiki combines leftfield dancefloor tracks ('Twins', the string-laden 'Immortal' and the Murk-y 'Good Voodoo') with more experimental moments (the bluesy 'After The Storm' and the cerebral 'Starslider') to create a very Bpitch-esque artist album.

Of the record, Kiki offers: "When I worked on the album there were situations when I had a very clear picture of what I wanted without knowing for sure how to realize it, so I had to take a short break. Each time this happened I found a solution after a few days that would solve my dilemma. It was as if I had shouted a question into a world within my mind and what came back was my echo with the answer." And what does 'Kaiku' mean? - it's Finnish for "echo".
