Ableton Unveils Live 8
Latest version previewed.
Details of Ableton's Live 8, Suite 8 and a new controller developed with Akai were revealed at NAMM 2009 in Anaheim in California yesterday.
For its popular Live 8 package, the Berlin-based company revealed a host of new features, including a new groove engine, new hardware-free loop function, 'Looper' and plenty of other additions.
Suite 8 promises a "world-class sound library" created by some of the "world's top sound designers" while the joint-venture new controller, the APC40, means it's "time to kiss the mouse goodbye".
