The End's Closing Video
Footage released ahead of closing weekend.
In preparation for the final weekend's fun, The End has released a video compiling some footage of the legendary club. Filmed across a variety of parties, the video "takes a journey through the club and captures some of the final nights", according to director Ed Coleman. Watch it here - be warned, this footage may contain music from The Doors. This weekend sees club residents past and present performing, alongside a pile of regular guests.
Was there once, full of tourist and pillheads. Looks very big commercial venue, no undergournd feel. ATM inside says a lot on the nature of the place, I felt.... Its just my two cents, and I was there only once so....
Still, can't understand whats all the fuss about.
Eh Shinya, you were one of those tourists ;-). But I agree, was in it a few times, never really understood the hype about it. It's a fine space, but nothing amazing and the line ups were more often than not very average.
Im tourist but dont wanna be in the place tourist goes.... How ironic (:-)
Bit of Marx brothers quote.
Only point I feel sympath to "end of The End" fever is, when Club Yellow Tokyo closed, it was packed by the people who never been to the club before, but just wanna to be there becasue its closing or read about closing party on media.... I guess the same happen there in London.
That last party of the club Yellow went on 36 hours none-stop (sat eveing to Mon morning), so all "tourist" went home sunday morning and only hard-cores /regulars left at sunday afternoon. Night to be remember...
I thought it was a great spot, didn't feel to big, good lights and soundsystem. Inveitably these places attract tourists(such as us!) Hopefully something better will emerge to take its place.

Yup, I work with a guy who's flying over to it but has never been to the place before, ha!
Used to be my favourite London club but went totally off it over the last 2 years or so. Crowd changed a lot and the lineups were not what they used to be either. Happens everywhere I guess.
when i was there it was full of londoners.
i'd take tourists any day of the week
