Joe Goddard has confirmed details of his debut solo album, 'Harvest Festival'. According to Goddard, the largely instrumental album - due on his Greco Roman label in December - features "things that would feel a little out of place on a Hot Chip album like having long instrumental passages and loops. I love crafting short songs with Alexis [Taylor] but I wanted to have a go at other forms of electronic music." Goddard cites Aphex Twin, Theo Parrish, Brian Eno and LTJ Bukem as key influences on the record, which also attempts to avoid "the crushing seriousness that a lot of dance producers seem to feel is essential to making music".
