The organisers of Glade festival have announced a competition whereby they are offering people a chance to design their own area at this years festival and cop a grand for their troubles.

Creative director Nick Ladd says, “We are looking for people with creative ideas who think differently and can bring off-the-wall, kooky ideas to Glade. Stuff that’s interactive and gets people creatively involved in the festival.”

“We’ve been going to Burning Man for the last few years and the show there is 100% generated by the people that attend the festival. As a result, the creative diversity is mind boggling, so we are bringing a bit of that vibe to the UK to see what ideas people have got buried in the surrealist depths of their minds. We can’t wait to see what people come up with!”

The Glade Festival is now in its seventh year and will run from Thursday 15th – Sunday 18th July 2010.
