Founder of Sennheiser Dies

Aged 98

Dr. Fritz Sennheiser, the founder of audio technology giant Sennheiser, has died at the age of 98.

The Sennheiser company was founded in 1945 and oversaw some important developments including shotgun microphones, open headphones, wireless radio and infra-red transmission.

Fritz retired from the company in 1982 handing it over to his son.

He remained very involved in the company up until his death.
