Bodytonic Podcast 018 : Oliver $
Oliver $
Oliver $ is currently one of the shining stars on Jesse Rose's Made to Play label. So far 2008 has been a very promising year for the young Berliner with his debut Made to Play release Hotflash crash-landing onto dancefloors all over and getting frequent spins from both house & techno-ers alike, from Ricardo Villalobos & Luciano to Switch & Derrick Carter. Oliver has also mixed the recent Made To Play compilation, "Playing Around" featuring all of the label's nicest tracks & remixes by the likes of Jesse Rose, Claude Von Stroke, Sinden, SWAG & Trevor Loveys.
In a similar vein to Jesse Rose, Oliver's energetic style finds that nice balance between Chicago house, squelchy bassline and the more glitchy, techy sounds. You can catch Oliver jackin' out his monthly residency at Berlin's Panorama Bar for the Made to Play label night, as well as all the usual hotspots on the house circuit.

have been loving this guy lately
TIme to Jack! Nice Pod-cast,great tunes much enjoyed..
Great to see Bodytonic getting behind Oliver$.
While I'm a fan of the current trends - deeper music, more reverent house music and the nu-disco explosion, its nice to see some more 'obvious' party music getting some airtime. Oliver $ definitely is one of the guys keeping it tasteful.
I love this mix, lovin' the techno!!!

This is brilliant stuff, breath of fresh air compared to some of the really aggressive Switch-style stuff
