Bodytonic Podcast 048 : Shawn Rudiman
Shawn Rudiman
Human: Shawn Rudiman. Machines: TR-909, ER-1, ES-1, FR-777, EM Memory Man, Virus A, MMT8 and SH-101. The Technoir Audio label boss shows the laptop pretenders how it's done - a 90-minute live set recorded at Test, Dublin that was, in his words, "composed, mixed and inspired on the spot - thanks to Eamon from D1 for the 909 and Americhord for the 101!"

here here steve,its pointless&like u say,leave it the start&end....end of!!
I think you'll find that they have to put the bodytonic samples over the mixes because there is material on some of the mixes that needs protecting i.e if the djs are playing new exclusive stuff producers may well have asked them to put drops over the music in an attempt to stop the stuff getting ripped.
Fair point, but I'm not so sure. This is a live set - there's no recorded music here. It's all Mr Rudiman's own work and I don't reckon he would have insisted on samples being put in (especially as the mix is available elsewhere without bodytonic samples). Still reeks of sneaky advertising to me.
hello steve/tekkartels. your points were taken on board - we'll be using less BTM samples from now on, unless - as reason suggested - certain people ask us to do so. i don't think it's what you'd call sneaky advertising - maybe overt advertising is a better phrase! anyway, there will be less from now on.
who does the voice " bodytonic music "

Amazing set. This man can do some serious work with just a few boxes. The Bodytonic samples are proper irritating though. They come in at the high points of the mix and really spoil the set. Fair enough to advertise the site but why no just put a sample at the start of the mix and leave the rest alone?
