Delsin's smart choice of remixers and a selective re-issues policy has given last year's slept-on 'Trespassers' album a much-deserved new lease of life. Ame, too, seem inspired by the creeping New World Aquarium fever, turning in two remixes that do what good records should: cross genre divides with ease. Their first version takes the lilting melody of the original and refixes it through a dusty filter, combining it with a clattering break, thudded kick and murky bassline (and is that cheeky synth burp a nod to 'Trespassers'?). The end product is similar in spirit to 'Galaxy' and comparisons don't come any better than that. Ame's 'Alternative Version' takes the logical step into ambient territory, the undulating progression mirroring the original's unfussy, otherworldly appeal, and then builds further into unsettling, Eno-inspired territory. Actually, inspired is the word.
