When did you start DJing?

November 2006, I studied mixing in DJ school. And my debut took place In 2007

What was the first sort of music you played?

I started and continue to play commercial house. Cheerful and positive.

How did you join the agency – did you have a test, and who judged?

I did not choose GirlDJs, They they chose me and offered a favourable contract, paying all the expenses for work. In Russia there is no worthy alternative to GirlDJs, they are kind of unique as besides booking they are also engaged in producing, promoting.

In Russia are there many regular female DJs, I mean those who don't take their clothes off?

And in Europe there are thousands of them, but where are they? At homes? In the street? Where? We know nothing about them, people know nothing about them. But everyone knows Nicki Belucci. And many people know me too. And it's not without your [the media] help.

Would you agree that if you were more talented you wouldn't need to take your clothes off to perform?

Ok, If you promise to me that when you will become more talented, you will ask nobody such silly questions, but at the moment if you insist I will answer you. I consider myself talented. I create remixes, tracks, is that pleasant to you or not? If you wish to discuss my breasts ask about them directly... I will not let you touch them, but i can talk about them.

Electronic music, more so than other areas of music, is very sexist. It could be said that topless DJs are destroying all the hard work done by people like Mary Anne Hobbs and Ellen Allien to get females respected as DJs?

I don't think so, Anne Hobbs and Ellen Allien are loud names that threaten nothing.

Mixmag apologised for their report but do you find that many people assume you can't play, and that a lot of your job is to convince people that you can?

Well that's how it's turned out now. Earlier I came to a club and nobody paid special attention to me. Now I get tired of this attention. It Starts from the airport till the departure lounge accompanied by people who are waiting only to see if I will fake it or not. Actually I am grateful to Nick Stevenson [the Mixmag journalist who broke the non-story]. After the article in Mixmag, Mari Ferrari was searched for 110,000 times on Google, and my tour schedule is busy till March 2009.

Many DJs have splashed out all the rage on topless DJing on me. Some of the things they've said, not even a girl with the lowest intellect would allow it. You can interview the managers of the clubs I've played at. If even one of them confirms 1% that was written in the Mixmag article, then I will voluntarily leave DJing.

Do you think topless male DJs would work?

I don't know, but I think it would be more interesting, than just someone standing up to the panel with a stone face, not understanding music.
