Alex and Johanna have been kind enough to present us with a podcast before and this time they took us on a tour of the petting zoo in Kreuzberg, before sitting down to answer a few questions about Berlin, DJanes and what's smouldering in Budapest. Sick Girls, Alex and Johanna were the first people to put on grime nights in Berlin. Their shows are a collaborative mixture of improvisation and intuition. They play back to back and say their secret is "making each other dance." Sick Girls also run an events and trend spotting company and were so far ahead of the pack that they were banging on about MIA and Santogold four years ago. Embracing hip hop, B'more, dubstep, electro and bass sounds the Sick Girls are slowly changing the face of a city that up until recently only played four to the floor.
Sick Girls will be in England, Poland, Holland, Germany and Ireland on the run in to Christmas. Check out their myspace for more details.
