What do you do?
Right now, I'm drinking coffee while listening to music. It's a hell of a job to run Kompakt.
Whats a typical day like?
I get up around 8.00 and bring my son to kindergarden, then I'd work out a little at the gym. At the office I'd first check my emails, then there's meetings until lunch time. The daily veggie lunch is prepared by our chef Kasia. We love her very much. At least twice a week I'd try to get to the studio after lunch. The other days are occupied with A&Ring the label and keeping up the communiation with our large family of artists.
Worst part of being the boss?
Having to fire someone... it didn't happen too often but I'll never get used to it.
Knowing that I can rely on my team.
How many people do you manage?
We're three bosses and 22 employees.
How do you see your industry changing in the next five years?
I guess that mainly depends on how streaming services will affect the industry... but vinyl remains our favourite format and as often as it's declared to be dead - it's still the heartbeat of Kompakt.
How do you unwind?
I love cooking.
What type of boss would you say you are?
Definitely the buddy type. I'm a Scorpio so I'm basically really easy to deal with. Unless you make me angry...

Upstairs to our cantina... It's lunchtime!
